For the QB? If so, what do you suggest?

No idea. Don't get me wrong, I loved the pump fake, but I unno, you didn't really use it that much to warrant such a big button.

15% or 20 % in my opinion is not a big enough factor to warrant a rating. If that was the case then there should be a "wind" rating, a players ability to throw in the wind. Or a "hearing" rating, ability for a player to hear an audible.

What about a "hard count" rating?

Re: Pump Fake Rating

I agree we should have a pump fake ratting.

Drew Bledso, Bret favre and Peyton Manning are perfect examples of QBs who are masters of the pump fake. Brady is a very good QB but i honestly have hardly ever sen him use the pump fake, let alone effectively. Maybe he is good, but i haven't seen it liek I have seen those others do it. Rich gannon was also very good at it. It is a skill of how you FAKE that you are going to throw while others like Hasselbeck just kind move their arm and put ZERO play into it. You have to SELL the pump fake.

I also like this idea as well. This is another skill set that some QBs are good at while others are not. John Elway was very good at the hard count. Again it takes good acting and you have to set the other team up for it. You have to have a lot of hard counts that ARE the correct snap cadence. You also have to note if players begin to jump the hard snap, and lastly you have to time WHEN you want to fake the D out. Often times you want to hit them with a hard count on 3rd and 4 or 2ed and 7 where those free yards are needed most and you expect an agressive D.

A hard count skill would be tricky though as I don't want too many offsides/encroachment without a good balance of false start from a QB who is bad at this.

If you are asking what the new pump fake should be, I think that holding the RB button and pressing the reciver you want to fake to should be how you do it. I think just hitting and letting go of the RB/R1 means you do a genaric pump fake like Matt Hasselbeck. When you pump fake it is becasue you have time in the pocket to do the fake and are trying to fake the D to where you are throwing, so why not like this? An advanced and simpel pump fake would be cool ot me. But we won't see that in M10. It's too late for M10 ideas. This should be kept by Ian for M11 though.
