Re: Your Franchise First Moves When 10 Drops

1. Patriots
2. Clay Matthews (bloodlines, 4.57 at pro day, fluid hips, good motor, versatile, good pass rusher, )
3. Basically what we've done so far, I like our pick ups (Bodden, Springs, Galloway, Taylor, etc.)
4. I would trade one of my seconds for a first next year (although it'd be easier if Matt Millen still had a job)
5.
QB: Brady
RB: Taylor
WR: Moss
WR: Welker
WR: Galloway
TE: Baker
LT: Light
LG: Mankins
C: Koppen
RG: Neal (maybe draft a future replacement later on...)
RT: Kaczur

RE: Seymour
NT: Wilfork
LE: Warren
ILB: Mayo
ILB: Bruschi
OLB: Thomas
OLB: Matthews
CB: Bodden
CB: Hobbs
NB: Springs
SS: Meriweather
FS: Sanders

Special Teams: We need a ST depth chart first

6. Super Bowl XLIV!

Re: Your Franchise First Moves When 10 Drops

  1. SF 49ers
  2. A solid O or D lineman is needed badly to either protect the QB or pressure theirs. Latter rounds we need DBs and WRs.
  3. More work on the Lines. Too bad no Albert H. Is Peppers out there still?
  4. Jay Cutler? I want a franchise QB. Hill is a stop gap and Smith was a bust
  5. [?] Our postitives are MLB-Willis, MLB-Spikes, DE-Smith, CB-Clements, CB-Harris, HB-Gore, LT-Staley, RT-Jennings, Punter-Andy Lee.
  6. Improve from 7-9 into our first winning season since 2002. Better team chemistry, Vernon Davis becomming a team player, Singletary taking charge and running our offense through Frank Gone with the Run, play action and passes out of the backfield/screens.
When Frank Gore has carried the ball at least 17 times, the 49ers are 15-6 and when he carries the ball 16 or fewer times the 49ers are 2-20. I know some will say "But when he carried 16 or fewer times it was becasue he was struggling." My responce, when you look at the stats at NFL.com you will find that in only 6 of those games was his YPC below 3.1 and in 13 of those games he had 4.0 or higher YPC. Any 49er fan will tell you that the offense lives and dies by how well Frank Gore does. One of the most frustratting things about watching the 49ers these last 3 seasons is when they abandon the run when it is working.

In thier last 7 games of 2008 the 49ers went 5-2. Frank played in 5 of them and went 4-1 with him. That one loss was against Dallas. My point? Singletary rode Frank gore and the running game hard. The running game makes or breaks most any team.

In 2009 I hope to see lots of dives, sweeps, pitches, counters, draws, screens, play action, swing routes and a whole lot of #21.

Team
  1. Draft (Your first round pick wish)
  2. Free Agent Pick Ups
  3. Trades
  4. Depth Chart
  5. Season Goals
1. Detroit
2. Would like to see curry, maybe a QB later, so many holes anything will help
3. Depends who is available but anyone young enough to be able to form into a solid role player.
4. None planned right now. They already did the roy williams to dallas that I always did for the last couple years.
5. Not sure until I know what happens with the rest the offseason
6. Hopefully lose multiple games without feeling cheated in them.

Re: Your Franchise First Moves When 10 Drops

Team: Bucs
Draft: QB or DT - a Sanchez free fall in the draft is a dream... don't see it happening...
Free Agent pick ups: Just 1 year signings to fill any gaps. See how they rate some of the players.
Trades: Most of the old players are already gone, Garcia, Dunn and June would have been on the block to get some rebuild draft picks. I don't as a rule trade for any other teams franchise players.
