Re: Fight For the Fumble

Um, really, I'd like to see the basic premise behind their idea before I make a determination. Basically, I'd like to see this 'pileup' in action first. I don't think any of us have a remote idea as to what this will look and play like.

Re: Fight For the Fumble

what do player ratings have to do with picking up a loose ball? It's all about who falls on it first or who kicks the other guy in the balls at the bottom of the pile..

Re: Fight For the Fumble

I think it should be completely random and dynamic. There is no rhyme or reason to who gets the ball in a real NFL scrum. The ball bounces one way, off 3 or 4 guys...craziness. I dont think there is (much) skill. It would be unrealistic to have the same guy always recover the football (say with a button mash). Random baby. Random.

well you do have to press something to make an action happen. how fun would it be to just put the controller down and watch a team play?(aside coach mode ppls) the highlight stick is just like tapping A or others because we want to do somethiung to help/perform an action.

2k hailed as the sim game has you tap A and no one complains about it being unsim...maybe im wrong though I havent looked into it

I dont get button mashing. If theres a fumble you should run to get it, if you do you hold to the protect ball button and hope your guy can hold on, if you dont get it press the strip ball button and hope you come out with it
What does my idea fall under

I hope I'm not the only one hoping this isn't a 'back of the box' feature.

I hope not either because it only happens a handful times a game. But it is a really nice add if implemented well
