I don't know about everyone else, but I'd personally LOVE if there was an option to start the Madden 10 Franchise Mode in the off-season before the NFL Draft. This would be similar to how NFL Head Coach career mode started.

Since we're not getting a Head Coach game, the Madden team needs to take advantage of the successful features and options from that game. The ability to shape your franchise's future is what Franchise Mode is all about and I haven't been fully immersed in a Madden Franchise Mode in years.

So is this something that anyone else would like to see or am I alone on this GM Mode fantasy?

Sure ..there is no downside to this because like HeadCoach its an option. Anything that is optional should not even be up for debate. If they can get it in they should. Now priorities should be debated!

I think it's a good idea as an option. I would want them to make one change, however... In HC, they made it impossible to resign anyone prior to free agency because they wanted to give you a shot at anyone. I think teams should try to resign their players first.

I'm with the OP on this one. I think we should be given the option at the very least. It's a good option to have, especially if you weren't particularly happy with the draft your favorite team had. You get to chance to recreate the draft and make your own picks.

I like it only if it is an option. Because I would like to be able to start with the rosters as they are.

If it automatically starts before the draft, who is to say that by preseason we'll have the correct rosters?

So, yeah if it's optional. Otherwise no.
