Ah ok! The user catching feels so much smoother in that game for the most part. It's just very important that the receiver at least attempts to go for the ball. Makes the game that much more realistic, even if he misses.

You shouldn't have to and I don't like that people do. I agree, I'm just saying, if you know how to "make it rain" you can catch a large percentage of deep balls.

Yea I know how to do it. I just think it's stupid to have to do it at all.
I do it sometimes, but only against the CPU.

I'd rather a much more fluid, realistic catching system.

Part 2: Co-op play

This seems to be an area that EA has forgotten about. Sure they have co-op in there (by co-op I mean 2 people on the same team), but it's just lacking some stuff. Here's how I see it:

  • Playing as a WR has become boring now because of the horrid User Catching. You cannot sit in the holes in a zone coverage because you can't strafe [yes I know strafe catch caused issues]. Not to mention the fact that you can't do a curl pattern (unless you let the CPU run a curl for you). Me and friends used to love playing on the same team, but now it's horrible. I think when running a pattern, flick the left stick down quickly so your receiver cuts and faces the Line of Scrimmage.
  • If you can have up to 4 controllers connected at one time, all 4 should be allowed to play on the same team. Like it USED to be on past-gen.
  • I feel that this is LONG overdue in Madden. This never was even in past-gen Madden. Why is there no online co-op? Obviously it would be unranked, so why can't there be online co-op? 2K5 did it, so I don't understand why it hasn't been

I feel the same way MR.

User catching in indeed is a very important feature in Madden that should be corrected. Animations in that area are long over-due.
As for Co-op, that is VERY high on my list. I love playing with my buddies on the same team. I remember doing it in 05'. We would make a franchise and stick with it for seasons on end. The curl routes and stop and go routes are impossible for the user to run. It would be awsome if they some how let you have more control of your reciever i.e. Cutting, faking body movements etc. While your buddy controls the quarterback and hits you perfectly in stride with the perfect REALISTIC animation that you as the USER have control of. Not this rocket catching BS or whatever these cheeser mother*uckers do.

I am hoping that EA adds in Co-op this year.....
I don't even know why it was even taken out in the first place?

Even if you don't use User catching, you should care about it. Especially if you play online. Its one of the problems with cheesers and their little tricks. I use it a lot. So I voted extremely important.

I think co-op IS in Madden this year. But it's just not fun to play really. It's partially because you can't run routes.

Who knows maybe the EA dudes already know our concerns towards co-op?
We have to keep the faith man.......lol.
