I'm with you there. Last gen I used to buy games like they were going out of style. Now I barely buy 10 games a year. In fact, I've invested in Gamefly for the sole purpose of not buying games.

Madden has been less then stellar for sometime now, disappointing fans on many levels leaving them to feel as if their cries were bouncing off the earmuffs of corporate fat-cats.

For that reason I suggest a little fan appreciation.

People that either pre-order or buy the game on the first day of its release ( Madden Fan Appreciation Day) get the game at 49.99 instead of the normal 59.99.

This along with the normal marketing and buzz will show that 2010 is a new year with a new attitude.
I am in.

But.....

NEVER happen. EA would never risk 1st day losses just for our sake.

GREAT GREAT idea though. Would win alot of people back. Maybe they should think about that.

Do this and I will pre-order today! This could be EA's way of "helping" the community through this difficult economy ...

That would insantly secure my purchase and make up for paying for Madden NFL 08 which was a complete peice of trash.

EA is to greedy to do something like this. That's why 2k is so far ahead of madden on every level. 2k5 was sold for $19.99. It had better gameplay, presentation, and replay value, yet EA received the exclusive right to make nfl games, go figure. If it wasn't for Ian and co. taking over the reigns, I would have never bought another madden game full price again. Good idea, but a price cut in general isn't going to happen.
