Re: Speed bar

I like the idea but would like to see it without added visuals.

Re: Speed bar

"The run" by Steve Young.

I just think fatigue should play a bigger role in the game. How many times do w se a huge gain by a back and then the sub comes in for the next down or two becasue the back is winded? When people talk about Champ Baily getting run down by Ben watson or other moments that are similar the often overlook that the player intentionalyl slowed down to showboat and prance into the endzone.

It wouldn't be fair to Don Bebee or Ben Watson to have this feature. However, if this were implemented it would have a direct tie into the stamina ratting. I like how in basketball there is a turbo cooldown and I don't think that is unsim, however things are a little different in Football. The true cooldown of turbo is in the huddle. Players who are truely winded come out becasue of excessive fatigue.

I voted No. Again, I think we need a better fatigue system. Also, QBs who turbo and ru naway need to turn back around and set their feet before they throw. This spin and bomb garbage is part of the problem as well.

Re: Speed bar

This fatigue effect should already be in the game, but just hide it. Don't want Street Fighter Fatigue Bars cluttering up the screen.

Unless your an olympic athlete you can only sprint 100% for about 5-7 seconds. And i'm telling you, you get tired sprinting at 100%.

I know fatigue will be in the game, but max sprint time is needed.

Really agree about the bars needing to be hidden.

As for the part about sprinting 5 to 7 seconds, people may feel like they can run top speed after that but even if they feel they are at top speed they will be slowing down. Also, it isn't like these players are completely fresh standing out there in shorts and a t-shirt. They have the added weight of the pads and the fatigue from the game. I think given all that by the end of the game 5 second is a very generous estimate.

Re: Speed bar

By sprinting I mean, accelerating I think.

I know that I can only sprint for about 5-7 seconds and the rest is trying to maintain that top speed and not slowing donwn.

Since when is fatigue a gimmick? I challenge you to go outside and sprint at 100% speed for 20 seconds.

PS. You can't do it.
