With no cone, how do I look off safeties?

Honestly I would like to know.

If all the cone is used for is to look off safeties and other defenders I would be fine with it in that state and a mechanic added in to where there is a slight delay when you throw outside of your cone. (aka body turning / head movement to throw)

But for me It only seems logical that I can look off safeties.

If it's in the game, It's in the game.

So in the NFL a pump fake is how you look off a safety???

I assumed it was for faking out a safety to bite on a pass.

Pump fake is one way, but looking off safeties is different than pump faking.

Re: With no cone, how do I look off safeties?

see the pump fake argument is a problem for me because that's not how QBs look off safties...that's how they get a safety to bite on a fake pass. Looking off a safety is done with the eyes and head movement and then hitting a receiver in the area the safety just vacated. If you honestly think the best mechanism to look off a safety is with a pump fake then you misunderstand what the term sim means.

I 100 % agree.

I went to the other thread and just said hey why not have an option for double tap (which would seem extremely annoying to me, but good for some) and the cone or neither.

I just feel the cone, to tune it more to everyone, should only affect the time it takes to throw and a slight hit to accuracy.

Maybe people should start learning how to read defenses before looking off Safeties.

(not saying you can't personally)
