Well as we know there are pile ups in Madden 10 (yes!!!!) and there will be a "fight for the fumble" mechanic. Now I know we have no idea how this will work as of yet or what it will look like but I have an interesting question....what if the fumble doesn't quite result in a pile on a stationary ball? What if the ball get's batted around a little bit and a player finally falls on it and his teammates know it. Wouldn't it be cool to see them come flying down the field around the spot of the recovery pointing in the direction of their opponents endzone signaling a first down?

Kind of like this

I think that'd be pretty sick to see from time to time. Just some food for thought folks...

I just hope that once the ball is out, there isn't ALWAYS a pile, or it can be batted around on the ground a bit (players mishandling or accidentally kicking it around) before the pile actually occurs.

Not trying to make this 2k vs. EA, but the other day I was playing APF 2k8 and I forced a fumble on a kickoff. The first three guys (all from my team) dove at the ball and none of them picked it up. It went in and out of the first guys hands, then the other two sort of pushed it further away. Then a guy on the other team ran in and picked it up. I'd love to see something like this in Madden.

I think the hands and awareness attribute should predict the fight for the fumble outcome. If a Lineman jumps on the ball and doesn't have good hands the ball should shoot from under him like a wet beachball.
