Honestly, I recomend you look at the 2k5 forum. There is a lot you can do with this game and you can DL new rosters as well.

To answer your question though, 08 was lacking a lot of in-game features I was waiting for 09 to return [formation audibles, line shift, smart routes, etc] yet 08 did a lot of things better too. The choice is realyl yours. If you want to play the computer only and the price isn't an issue then I say go for it.

I have been playing my 2k5 quite a bit recently and am waiting a transfer cable from MS so i can get the updated rosters for it.

I must have missed the memo on 08. 08 was the worst madden IMO and got the least amount of playin time out of me.

I thought 08 was an abomination. If you think 09 is glitchy, wait until you play 08. Graphics sucked badly as well.

I'm still stunned this game even got released in the state that it was in.
