Why is it Madden 10 seems to be making huge strides?

The product is getting stale and EA knows that its greatest IP is losing momentum. EA the company has gotten crushed in the past 2 years in terms of market capalization and market share.

EA needs money.

It isnt far fetched that another company could come along like Activision/Blizzard or Microsoft/Sony and offer some crazy money package for the NFL license and steal it from EA. Football videogames w/NFL backing are a money printing press

Everyone hates EA for the exclusivity, but its the nature of the market and theres no guarantees that it couldnt happen to them.

im sure this entire thread is filled with the same answer, but madden is making such huge strides this year because ian cummings is the lead designer and he has a team of people who are all interested in making the game good, and not in coming up with a brand new back of the box feature.
