Why can't we just edit everything in franchise?

I totally agree on this...AT LEAST the ability to edit all equipment in Franchise. This should be a "gimme" at this point??!!

Same here bro. Equipment almost always needs editing after import. I'd also like to be able to edit numbers so that there is no longer any #5 running backs or cornerbacks etc. Also hair if you are capable of doing that in 10. Reason bein that once you import, some players have dreads that shouldn't.

NBA 2k series allows editing of all ratings, even contracts IN FRANCHISE!

If you don't want to do it, you don't have to! But for some of us that are in year 2 of a franchise and don't know why a certain player isn't progressing or regressing logically then let us handle it.

To people that say we shouldn't be able to edit ratings in franchise, well, YOU don;t have to. The game already allows us to pick whatever team you want, just because you might only use the Bears doesn't mean the rest of us shouldn't be able to use all 32. I NEVER do a fantasy draft but for some that's got to be an option or it's a game killer.

Let us all have our own sandbox.

Example from last year: Nothing sucks worse than being in week 10 of the 2008 season and you're loving your franchise but Eddie Royal, Matt Ryan, and DeSean Jackson are all still 2nd or 3rd string because Madden had them rated so low out of the box. Now that your franchise is started you can't fix it for realism.

What they need to do is allow us to tweak how progression works.

For example:

You choose how often players are progressed. You want if 5 times a season OR do you want it every game?

Do you want it more of a potential rating OR more of production. YOUR CHOOSE.

Do you want to see the potential rating or not. YOU CHOOSE.

Let us choose what year players regress heavily by each position. YOU CHOOSE.

Let us choose how much injury effect regression. YOU CHOOSE>

You get the idea......YOU CHOOSE.,..

I made a thread about adjusting progression in franchise mode, but this is an even more direct approach.

I think it would be great, I always get annoyed when players on my franchise team are having their ratings changed with the online updates, but I am stuck with their original rating.

Also, I had a 29 y/o offensive lineman (Peterman) make the Pro Bowl in a season that I simmed (you can't make the Pro Bowl without simming since you will get far too few pancakes, but that's another story). Then at the end of the season he went down 1. How does that add up? I wish I could have at least made his rating stay constant, but more likely bumped it up a couple.

the ability to customize everything but ratings, is the reason I have yet to buy madden on next gen.

The last 2 years I bought it on the original xbox.

Although I strongly think you should be able to edit ratings also.
