Anyone here use the transfer cable for rosters?

I'm trying to update my 2K5 rosters until Madden 10 comes out. I'd do it with 09, but the gameplay is too broken

I can't get the files on the hard drive. If you can possibly help, please go to this thread and help!

Hmmm... Is that something I'm gonna have to buy? I'm really not about to spend more money.

Go to the 2k5 forum. They have a sticky that tells you how to do it. I lied to MS and told them I have an Elite and they sent me out a free cable. The rosters need some additional tweaking, but are good. Took a few weeks to get the cable but it was better than paying 60 bones.

If you have the cable, you need to download Xport, and again, the stick gives you all the links and direction on how to do it. Just go to the 2k5 forums and it is like the 2ed or 3rd sticky.

I already have used that sticky. And it's not working. I have the microsoft cable.

I followed that guide exactly, and it STILL isn't working. I've tried on both Vista AND XP

man thats what i did. I couldnt figure out how to use the cable so i bought that. Im not saying you should do that as Madden 2010 is coming out soon and might possibly be a good game. I was willing to drop whatever last season as i had had it with madden.

Did you try turning off that UAC or whatever it is called? That's what I needed to do with my Vista laptop. I can't remember exactly what it was called, but it was something on Vista that stops your computer from recognizing the hard drive. Is that your problem?
