Madden Retires!!!!

Alright guys...If Madden 10 does well this year, EA's NFL2k11 J/K.... But I think it should just stay Madden whatever....It worked for this long why not keep it!!!

ea has been plotting to remove the madden name for some time now. it's a slow gradual process, but i've been watching them slowly change the name for some time now.

I'd love to see EA kinda celebrate John Madden in some way. I think it would be very fitting.

Just heard the news, and I really will be honest, this is coming from the heart, I'm very sad. I just want to say thanks to John for all the years just listening to him call games was an honor and he made the sound of listening to games that much better. Some may say it was boring, but I loved him and Summerall. John will be missed and I hope he haves a great time in whatever he does in life. I'm 30 years old and I have been listing to him over 20 years. I still think EA should always keep the Madden name alive, after all this gam has had his name of rover 20 years..

Again, this is a sad day.

I heard he said he should have retired when they retired the game by EA that bears his name back in 2005. BOOM! jk

I have always enjoyed John Madden's commentary. Seems like I have watched him forever. Sure, you can't go through a broadcast without hearing about Brett Favre, but beyond his Favrism's he's always got some off the wall quote having absolutely nothing to do with football or the game at hand adding a strange odd ball variety to the commentary that I really enjoy.

Farewell John, you were very entertaining, now if only the game that bears your name were half as much so.
