NFL huddle and play call.

I was playing Head coach the other day, and I thought that it was kinda cool that when you call a play you can actually hear the voice of the coordinator through the QB's helmet.

It got me thinking of something like this for Madden: Play calling screen comes up, you pick the play, you hear the coordinator say the play in the QB's helmet "Rex, Gun, 263, demon, ted, drag". On the screen to the right (the one that shows the replays) you see the actual huddle and the QB repeating the play, sorta like a cutscene. Huddle breaks, jumps to gameplay with QB at the LOS. Of course, there would be an option to skip that for those who would surely get annoyed with it after a while.

I know it's a stretch, but something like that would add to the NFL feel and realism that we've been asking for.

Thanks man. I'm all for realism and I think that would so cool to see. Anything that adds to that NFL atmosphere we've all been waiting for.

I think it should be part of the presentation options. if you want a TV presentation, then you should not have this option. I think it is awesome, but not very realistic for TV broadcast. I think that if there were a field presentation option as well you could have this and more on field banter and so forth with more video game-esque camera angles, more of a movie feel than TV.

if you ever played First Person Football on 2k5 you'd know that after you call the play the QB did call the play in the huddle and then you were in the helmet of the RB on a run or the QB on a pass.

I am looking forward to the new presentation of 09. ian's goal is to blow 2k5 out of the water. he said he never wants Madden compared to 2k5 ever again, and presentation is possibly the most well known part of 2k5. With out startign a debate here, some will argue gameplay, but my comment is that 2k5's game play was only better than Madden's, which is to say I run faster han my grandmother. They both were bad, 2k5 was just less bad. [/2k5 talk]
