I recall at the start of the season, they said that they are looking at how many reps where Hester lines up and may force him to change his number from his DB number to a proper WR number. But he may be listed as a RB like you said and could possibly keep his number.

Hester is still listed as a DB.

As a fellow Bills fan I completely agree. He wanted to be the highest paid tackle but played like he was a backup, he hurt us more than he contributed (we were better off when he wasn't playing). Now we got another 1st round pick to work with, and a couple late rounders. He'll prolly start working hard now that he's in philly getting paid top dollar but he's never going to be a top 5 tackle (like he's getting paid).

Not entirely correct.

Numbers 10-19 are no longer "alternates" for WR's. They can choose them even if a number 80-89 is available.

And it's interesting that defensive linemen are supposed to wear 60-79. I thought that was incorrect at first since I tend to see most D-Linemen wearing 90-99 it seems. But I found the 2006 NFL rulebook in PDF form and confirmed this.
