It does apply to EA because they paid for the exclusive license, the license that makes them the exclusive NFL video game production company, no other professional sport has supported this action, what makes it even worse is that the NFL is easily the most profitable and really had no legitamate reason for an exclusive license.

I believe this case has been brought up like 4780418 times since the exclusive license and nothing has changed. If this was SO illegal don't you think the rights would have been dropped by now, considering its been like 4 years?

Their legitimate reason is that they own the trademarks. It's called property rights. They own it, thus they can do what they wish with it. They can sell rights to it exclusively, or they can sell them to multiple companies. Until the exclusive license went into effect, sports were one of the few areas where licenses were not exclusive... movies, television- all those licenses had always been exclusive.

Just because it is illegal does not mean its going to change there are alot of things in this country that are wrong but it does not mean its going to change. There is this very important influential object that happens to have a very dramatic effect on people called money.

You're 100% correct, that does not mean that it is not a monopoly or morally wrong/unfair.

How is it morally wrong? Since when has business ever been about morals? It may be unfair to us gamers, but in business there is no morals. It's about making money and staying on top of your competitors.
