Can you let the clock expire on your draft pick in Madden?

I was not aware that a team can let their pick expire, and then resubmit it any time after that.

Apparently the Vikings fell from 7th to 9th by doing this one year, albeit unintentionally (source).

If you can't trade out of the top 5, but don't have the cap space to pay top 5 money, could you wait it out a few picks in Madden?

I don't see why not. There is a clock, I've never personally let it run down all the way but there is a clock and i'm sure it does soemthing when it expires.

I have never tried it either, I always assumed that it would just pick the next player on the board and skip to the next team. I did not know you could actually wait out a few picks. I wonder if anyone has tried it?

Last gen, teams picked ahead of you. Haven't even thought about trying it for this gen . . .

i dont think u can. unfortunately this happened to me early, they keep on going on with the picks.
