I've been playing it since last month. Got it for like 5 bucks at Game Crazy. It's awesome.

Game Crazy is not sim.

The walk glitch, direct snap glitch, super HB toss - all that stuff is outright cheating.

Honestly, the talk of sim is getting on my nerves because I think that nowadays there are more and more people who tend to whine and moan about certain things that they cannot stop even though it's not really an exploit or glitch and then just saying it's 'not sim'. I see this online A LOT in sports games. I feel that there are so many self-imposed rules of what is sim nowadays....
^^^ THAT. Well said.

Would add 1 note: Play the game of football as it was meant to be played. punt when you should etc. nothing worse than having a good game then someone starts going for it in STUPID situations and then falls behind only to quit.

I would love to see more of the chess match that is football.

madden is not sim. Madden is a sport loosely based on an american sport called football. So while playing madden remember to throw out the chess match of playcalling and go to your money and glitch plays.

If your trying to make madden sim then it will be a frustating experence.

And becuase madden isnt close to sim, thats why i wont play it anymore. I try each year and then realize they have fun taking our money and laughing at us complain. Then rinse and repeat.

Of COURSE madden 10 will be sim.

Re: What is YOUR definition of "Sim" Football?

I would not say that any one act or play type or decision is "not sim".

A sim game is not one that limits when you can go for it on 4th down. A sim game is one where the consequences for going for it on fourth down are accurate and the benefits in terms of field position actually mean something.

A sim game is not one that limits where you can put a player within your lineup. A sim game is one where all ratings to play a position actually matter and knowledge of how to play the position actually matter enough that putting a player out of position will only work in a realistic manner.

A sim game is not one where you can't attempt to truck someone with peyton manning. A sim game is one where if peyton tries to take a LB head on like that he will get his world rocked like he would in real life.

A sim game is not one that does not allow a receiver to square up to the line of scrimmage and go up for the ball. A sim game would be one that when the receiver tries to do that the DBs will either go up with him or he will be exposing his body to a huge hit and risk of injury or whatever.

You probably get the idea by now.

I think if more people actually wanted to enjoy football gaming as much as they did winning, less people would be prone to finding cheats.

Regarding your sig: Quoting yourself is not sim.
