Is there any stopping the Full Back dive? I realize that Madden 10 has promised a for it but that isn't until August. Can someone please offer a play or two that they have had relative luck with in stopping it this play. What do you run when you think the FB Dive is coming? As you know the play is too effective.........

4-3 normal, free fire? i believe the play is called. Show blitz to bring up the safetys and backers. pinch, crash, and run commit. Best strategy I have used by far.

Not so much this year, but next year the success rate will be toned down significantly.

ALmost nothing is 100% against someone who goes heavy with the FB dive/toss/power 0, but Ive found that the best way is to find a way to do it without run committing. People who run those kind of offenses WANT YOU to run committ.

Its all about re-blitzing your defenders. Even if a defender is already blitzing, using a blitz defensive hot route on him changes his blitz angle to straight down at the offense. I like to reblitz my entire defensive line then pinch them. A 4-6 cover 3 works well for this. Take one MLB, blitz him too, and stack him on the strong side RIGHT ABOVE the guard.

I'll definitely give these things a try.......I really don't like the idea of run committing however

Pause the game...request friendly quit...if granted move on...if denied, quit the game and go back to the lobby...find new opponent...

You COULD try all of the other stuff listed if you want, but in the end if you stop this kind of person you will get disco glitched or they will simply quit anyway...I guess you can have the satisfaction of stopping them, but in the end you will still end up looking for a new opponent anyway...why waste the time at all? I don't even bother any more...if they decline the friendly quit, I just quit and move on...got better things to do anyway!
