Jaw-Dropping impact Blocking

5. Backs in the backfield (blocking for QB)

6. TE's blocking the point of attack

7. FB's blocking for RB's

8. Linemen pulling and blocking

9. Earhole blocks

10. Blocks in the return game KR/PR


While tackling has become a lost art in football, blocking has not. Football has always been about knocking people down. Blocking & hitting is the fundamental reason why football is the ultimate contact sport.

Yet, in Madden NFL its hardly visable.

Let me paint you a picture.

A RB gets the ball and bounces to the outside, hits the sideline and turns on the burners. The playside CB turns, runs, and closes on the RB with his blazing speed.

The farside WR comes barreling down on the CB from across the field at top speed, then lowers his shoulder...THE CROWD GOES NUTS!!!

Touchdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, we need hard impact and collisions, and blocking that makes a statement with an exclaimation point!

Thats exciting, thats fun, thats entertainment value, thats football.

That hit stick stuff is not what I mean. I'm talking about specific unique animations...momentum changers. Even away from the ball. Away from the play side even...

Not those cut blocks where guys go down by the ankles and the guy flips over. I mean, jarring, jolting, hard hitting blocks!

All legal hits, but with much more WOW factor...

No I wasn't joking... I mean, I assume you want hits that resemble a full on hit stick... but during blocks... so it would be more like AI Hitstick Blocking

But I agree, it would be nice to see some vicious blocks from time to time...
