So it is the 6th 99 ovr that has you buggin? I don't see how you are mad when you think there should be five and there is only one more than that.

There are 6 known so far plus you know at least one QB and quite possibly a lineman or two. Also, it is more like the 3rd or 4th who bother me.

Re: What happen to scaling ratings?

I have no problem with the number of 99's I have seen. There are elite players in the league, so rating them 99 will make them standout.

There is no use saying that "player x" was the best ever at "position y" in the 1990's or 1980's, so anyone now is not a 99 unless they at least as good. If you are only rating top players 90 because historic players are better, they will not stand out as much.

Further, a high number of players in the 90s does not mean that the ratings aren't stretched enough. The point is to have elite players in the 90s, and stretch the ratings floor down into the 60s so that other players are not as great.

Re: What happen to scaling ratings?

The rating of these rookies just "spit in the face" of the idea of scaling! How is this any different then any other year in Madden. They shouldnt have even metioned scaling rosters if it was going to be this minor.

Re: What happen to scaling ratings?

I think there should be a 99 ranking if a player deserves it.

But If there are 10 players per position over 90 that seems like too much for me. That would be almost 1/3 of the starters in some positions.

I think Peyton Manning is a 99 OVR but that is me.

Give us EA Locker and we will eventually find some masterpiece rosters here on OS.

I'm concerned about this, too. They're still too high for my tastes.

And Mark Sanchez/Josh Freeman a lot higher than Matt Leinart? Come on now.
