Not Another Typical "Ratings" Thread
I seem to be seeing a lot of threads talking about ratings being either too high, too low, not spread out enough...blah blah blah.
So I decided to add some creativity: here's what I think my team (Philadelphia Eagles) player ratings should look like in general:
Elite (94+ OVR): Asante Samuel, Brian Westbrook, Shawn Andrews
Semi-Elite (89-93 OVR): Sheldon Brown, Trent Cole, Donovan McNabb, Jason Peters
Average Starter (75-88 OVR): Sean Jones, Quintin Mikell, Juqua Parker, Brodrick Bunkley, Mike Patterson, David Akers, Stewart Bradley, Chris Gocong, Leonard Weaver, Stacy Andrews, Todd Herremans, Jamaal Jackson, Brent Celek, Kevin Curtis, DeSean Jackson
Average Backup (60-74 OVR): Nick Cole, Jack Ikegwuonu, Quintin Demps, Victor Abiamiri, Chris Clemons, Darren Howard, Trevor Laws, Omar Gaither, Akeem Jordan, Max Jean-Gilles, Mike McGlynn, Sav Rocca, Kevin Kolb, Kyle Eckel, Jason Avant, Hank Baskett
3rd Stringers and Special Teamers (Below 59 OVR): Dimitri Patterson, Dan Klecko, Jon Dorenbos, Torrence Daniels, Joe Mays, Tracy White, Bryan Smith, Winston Justice, A.J. Feeley, Lorenzo Booker, King Dunlap, Mike Gibson, Matt Schobel, Reggie Brown
I tried to spread out the ratings as well as I could. And I too believe that the 'Elite' players that they've shown so far are rated way too high. There should only be a handfull of players with an OVR of 99 (guys like: P. Manning, Brady, Tomlinson, Reed, Brees, Fitzgerald-I'm not saying all of them, they're just canidates).
Feel free to post your team's player ratings here, I think it'll be interesting as to what people have to say about players who's ratings have already been released. Just try to keep it unbiased (I know its hard).
