NBA Live 09 Was Better Than Madden 09?!?

So with the NBA playoffs in swing I decided to look into the nba games again (played them very briefly at release because you know, football, Madden) and was surprised to realize that the oft maligned Nba Live 09 is a better game than Madden 09 lol.

Say what you want about 2k vs. Live, but it just seems that so much effort was put into Live which is heading in the right direction by the way. Madden is as well, but I just think Live was the better product in 09, crazy huh?

Agreed, 2K is the only way to go for basketball.

Though I agree with you, NBA Live 09 was a good game. I have to agree with the OP, if you're comparing NBA Live 09 to Madden 09, Live wins hands down.

I was comparing Live 09 to Madden 09. I think Live wins. Does this make Madden the worst 09 game from EA sports?

I am always jealous of how good NHL 09 and Fifa 09 are that I never thought, "could Madden be the worst title from EA sports?"

What else could be in the running? Tigers been kinda stale, but at least it's a good game. Nascar has been down a bit (especially with no local multiplayer on a racing game lol). That said, I think Madden 09 could have been the worst. Anyone have a better candidate?

Live 09 is a glitch fest.

Live animation wise had its good bad and ugly, but the dna feature was truely groundbreaking having teams and players actually mimic what they do on the court with actaul data was pretty nice. An turely had one of the best halfcourt game i've seen in a basketball game. But at the end of the day the gameplay not as polished as it should be but they are heading in a good direction. Live actually played more sim then 2k but animation wise 2k9 just killed them.
