The good the bad and the madden
I am a long time madden player and I have been reading on the os forums for quite a while. This is my first thread so bear with me. Historically its taken madden 4 years ti get things right on new systems imo. The reason this is, is the technology jump. Implementing new features and such takes a backseat due to trying to get the game to play well and its not simply a process of porting over last gen stuff. Back to the 4 year theory look back to madden in the 90's. Madden 96 for for playstation was horendous. Fast foward fours yrs to madden 2000 and it truly imo finally was perfect. Madden 2001 on ps2 and x box was ok. A lot of new stuff but still lacking in several areas. Franchise online etc. But madden 2005 was here and it blew everone away. Simply amazing. Madden 06 for 360 was bare bones. But now here we are four years later and finally we get the game that we have been expecting and waiting for. Madden 09 imo was a huge step forward in several categories. Graphics and detail. It was buggy and I think it was overhyped and the old madden team did seem a little "off." But they did lay the foundation for the one we will see in august. For me personally, I did like the fact that they did try to bridge the gap between good and bad players. Madden with each and every year has become increasingly complex to play. Its hard to find friends to play because of that. So having the ability to have users pick different difficuly levels was a pretty big deal for me. And it made playing other people fun again. No more 100-0 score fests means people less experienced than I to have fun while playing. Anyway my 2 cents.
