Stumbling/Gaining Balance

Before I say what I am about to say..I would like to make it clear that im a Madden fan all the way so nobody tries to take my lunch money...ok..One thing I love about 2k as far as gameplay goes..was the stumbling/gaining balance effect.

This was mostly used when breaking tackles but also when defensive players dived towards players and were only able to clip there legs...the player stumbles and it just seems to make the players much more human..makes the player seem to be trying his best to get as many yards as he can(fight for every yard?)..It would definately increase the excitement seeing that you dont know what might happen..there could be certain animations where the player amazingly stays on his feet and then other animations where he doesnt quite make it..What do you think EA/OS??

I most defintely agree. Its my most hated madden animation. me and my buddies call it the "eat dirt tackle" because the defender dives face first into the runners legs and its an AUTO tackle.

This would be great and go well with a lean / directional support. One of the things that makes the game look weird is there is never any lean to the players when the turn.

That's one problem about madden. Big runners like Brandon Jacobs do not completely PLOW over defender like some of the animations we see. They deflect and bounce off of defenders' hits and are able to keep their balance.
