You could slip in Madden 09.

Re: Progressive Weather & Field Conditions

If they're gonna do it, do it right is all I say!!!

This is a touchy subject for me for the fact that madden doesnt play according to the weather for BOTH teams. It seems like one team always gets the domination aspect of bad weather games. And what i mean by domination is this:

1) One team most like the opponents team will drop less passes than you even wide open.

2) Rbs that seem to never fumble in SNOW or RAIN but are known to fumble just done but for some reason your RB fumbles more than the opponents

3) The footing and athleticiy of the defense is just unreal, Dlinmen are in full pursuit without a hitch. No trips. slips, and falls and RBs run as if there running on dry land all while making cuts and cutbacks thru the gaps.

4) point blank I have rarely seen someone fall or score due to the weather drastically affecting the game.

Its more luck than it is skill or fighting for every inch like its supposed to be but players still play as if the weather isnt effective at all.

Does anyone notice that even on clear days with no real "weather" there is still a decent amount of wind in real-life (like 10-15 mph). Yet in Madden there's rarely any wind at all, no matter what the weather conditions, rain or snow.

I know that madden teams of past stance on this would be that they dont want it to affect gameplay because its not fun for the whole family to have play affected by weather or something idiotic like that. Im sure Ian's stance is different since hes obviously a real football fan.

I agree 100% with the orginal post. Anyone who watched the second Bills vs. Patriots game last year should agree, as well. Hopefully, weather will have a more dramatic impact this year.
