Backbreaker to Ian re: Euphoria...are they trying to build a rivalry?

Taking the high road is always a good route. It always seems to be the underdogs that try and flare up a rivalry and the ones who can walk the walk that have no need for smack talking.

Backbreaker is vaporware...has been the next greatest thing for going on 4 years now. Which is exactly the way they want it! Once they release a real game, the option of being that enticing "new" technology is shot...

I first raised the issue of using Euphoria on the Madden (and NCAA) next-gen games in 2006 (at the CD for Madden NFL 2007). It was "being evaluated" then and its no closer to being used in the game now.

If and when Backbreaker is released; I will be naturally curious, but it would have to unbelievably good (and feature customization on the same level as Team Builder for NCAA 10) to have any chance of being bought.

Also, if you bought Madden 06-09, then why would BackBreaker have to be "unbelievably good" to get your money? Sure seems like a double standard and pretty hypocritical to me. Especially since you were at Community Day 2007 and STILL ended up buying that trash.

Agreed. I won't be able to be excited about Madden until I play the game. The game play has to be fixed before it's a viable game in my 'must have' gaming catalog and while they have shown they are focusing on game play, focusing on it and actually fixing it aren't necessarily the same thing.
