True so true. If madden/ncaa would have just kept things like player roles and other things the game would not have so many problems now. They could really concentrate on the items we have wanted all along and not be so far behind now.

That was the only flaw with the system. damn i miss the newspaper lol. but these roles added a small dent in replay value. it was added depth to franchise: it made FAs more valuable, added more depth to your bench, made trades mean something, and had a greater affect than the "weapons"

If they don't bring these roles back, then they should make some type of chemistry and morale system w/ players

No - they need to add roles WITH the Chemistry and Morale. If you go 0-16 then your player morale should be very low and bringing in guys should be even harder. If your RB and QB are not happy with one another for whatever reason (QB does not throw the the RB) then they will have a low chemistry and they will have a decrease in some stats.

Well if I am assuming since Ian has not graced us with his presence yet may be he is in a meeting saying "Look guys Weapons need to go now. Pull up the Madden 07 player roles - this is our main concern - a poll on OS says we need to put this in - please let us get to it"

after lookin over the roles available, i think they would have to make more roles. maybe not a lot, i just noticed that none were designed for the O-line. maybe safeties should have their own thing, sorry imma big Free Safety player . maybe have two roles negate each other, like CBs vs WRs...etc etc

I don't like the fact that the players receive ratings boosts for their roles. Being the "feature" players that they are, their ratings should already represent them well enough without a role affecting their play.
