Players are allowed to wear Reebok, Nike and Underarmor. If they wear anything else the logos have to be taped up. Reebok does have the exclusive rights but, it's only to unis, hats, and such.

This is why Reggie Bush was fined for wearing Adidas. Adidas pays his fine every game because he sign a contract with them.

That was from Aug 06 which players are now allowed to wear Underarmor.

The NFL has a commitment to their sponsors that they are obligated to adhere too. The point of a business is to create revenue, and this is one of their revenue streams. It's a mutually beneficial deal, and at some point we, as fans and as consumers, need to accept that reality. Does this mean our game will be a bit less authentic? Yep. Does that suck on some level? Yep. But are we better off with an NFL that doesn't know how to maximize it's revenue and be loyal to it's sponsors? Nope, because in time, there wouldn't be an NFL otherwise.
