I thought it was great myself. Anything that adds more strategy to the game is a wonderful thing. The only problem was when you let one of your players become a UFA then signed him back, he lost all of his previous knowledge of your playbook.

They explained that it was a memory/database issue, but that was tough to deal with. I too doubt that this aspect of HC will come over to Madden because a lot of fan base isn't going to want to have to "work" that hard.

This would be awesome. This would make it realistic when signing a QB right before a game and having him play crappy due to just getting on the team.

This would be awsome IMO. This would make signing and FA's so much more realistic. It should take time for a player to fully grasp a new teams playbook and that should be reflected in Madden. Hope this makes it in this year. That feature alone would give franchise mode a major replayability factor.

This is a really interesting idea that I'd never thought about before. I haven't played HC 09, would someone who has please explain how this rating worked and effected each player? Did it decrease their overall rating for a short period of time, or did it lower their awareness, etc...?
