Test the game before release!

If Madden is going to live up to expectations, ultimately the game will have to work! If it features all of the things we've wanted for 4 years the game must be tested thoroughly enough to make all of our wants not become mute because we can't play the game.

From reading the IGN pre hands on review it wasn't very encouraging to hear about all the bugs. Sure they mentioned EA was aware of them. I'm sure EA was aware of players running out of bounds for no reason when the greatest Madden ever was supposed to be coming out last year.

EA needs to test this game and make sure it plays like football. Don't test it a few times, test it day and night for a month or more. If it's not ready push the release date back until it is. I wouldn't mind waiting for a polished game to be ready until around NFL opening day instead of relying on a patch or two down the road. If we're going to spend our money upfront we should expect a completed product.

Yes i am sure Ian is aware that the game is need to best tested. This ain't the old madden crew this a new one. Ian is in charge and he is making sure that the game is going to be as good as it can be. I mean the game ain't going to be perfect. But most of the bugs and glitches from last year will be found and fixed before the game is release. Bro just have faith in Ian. He will not let us down. I trust him big time.

this is the problem i have....why can't the game be perfect? its 2009 and from playing other sports titles made by other companies i can tell you that alot of games come very close to perfect, isn't it time madden which has been around for 20 years drops a perfect game for a change?

Madden is held in a different light than other sports games because of it's recent games on NG.

Even you just said a lot of sports game(I would beg to differ, MLB is in there, that's about it) come very close to perfect, but yet Madden needs to be perfect.

Huge difference.

And to the OP, the NFL mandates a release date at a certain time every year.
