Re: Jumping the Snap

I was not a fan of that when I played NCAA. It was way too frequent. After a while "jumped the snap" felt like "the CPU has decided you will be sacked on this play". Annoying imo.

True, cpu abused it sometimes.

Other times, I would force CPU defensive players offsides by doing "fake snap" multiple times. The feature was not implemented well.

Re: Jumping the Snap

My sig says it all.

If it was taken out because of online exploits, just make it unavailable online, it's not that hard surely. It was, IMO, one of the best features of Madden 08.

And I don't know if anyone's noticed, but it actually makes the 'fake snap' button this year completely useless, and just leads to your line false starting.

I never really used or cared for the jump the snap feature.

As unrealistic as it was (I lead the league in sacks with Vince Wilfork two years in a row on my Fins franchise), without it I just can't get sacks with the DL.

It's so true though.
Unless you have OLB's in 3-4 defenses that are ridiculously fast like Manny Lawson, it's really hard to get to the quarterback. There doesn't feel like there's any definition between playing with Jared Allen and an 80 OVR backup DE.

Hopefully though, the addition of pro-tak will make things easier?
I'm still all for bringing back Jump the Snap though,
