If the down and distance are shown on the playcalling screen, why do you need markers?

I'm not talking about first down lines. I am simply talking about lines indicating 5-yard, 10-yard, 15-yard, etc routes.

If I call a curl play, how do I know if the curl is a 5-yard or 10-yard route without lines?

But it has always been in there before, so we shouldn't necessarily assume it won't this year.

I agree. Field lines should be added to the play-calling screen just for this reason. Also, it looks cooler than just a green background
