i've noticed with basketball, i think 2K8 they changed it to the broadcast camera angle from how you watch it on tv and it really helped improve the reality with the gameplay. Same as MLB games with pitching, the camera angle is behind the pitcher when in past games it was always from the batters box.

Will Madden be the next?

The only problem I would think would be the long routes ran by your receiver and he were to come out of the picture, but who knows maybe the camera angle could be wider or something to help bring the "everything you see on sunday" feel to life.

Just a thought!

it would be sort of hard to use in user controlled games..but I hope they have it in cpu vs. cpu games this year..that would be lovely.

No way that is ever a default camera...to show everything happening downfield as well as the trenches, the camera would have to be zoomed out until the players were the size of ants. And if you can't see downfield then the camera is useless.

It's great for watching games (like CPU only). Not so good for actually playing.

I think that gameplay angles should help not hinder the gameplay experience. Broadcast angles are perfect for basketball since it does hinder gameplay. In baseball games, when you are batting, a camera angle behind the batter comes up. I am all in for broadcast angles for replys and such but having that angle for gameplay would be difficult to play with. You are not able to see the whole field and the running game would be very distorted.

it seems like an okay idea but think about it ! u can see your self looking at the field horizantal now can u? but i think if they added the camra options they had in 2k5 it would be great!

No, it works for the NBA but it would be a disaster for Madden.

no because than gameplay would be taking a huge step backwards, i think everyone who is SIM can agree with me(a SIM player myself)when i say that a video game doesn't have to have EVERYTHING u see on sundays

How in the world would you see your receivers down the field and read the coverage with a broadcast camera? I personally would never play with it and can't imagine it working in a typical Madden gameplay setting.

Now if I were only calling plays and not running them, it's a different story, but that's not what Madden is about.
