There's a reason why the top 5 teams (Pitt, Ari, NYG, Indy and Baltimore) in the NFL don't run the Wildcat. It's because they have better systems that isn't quite as risky as the Wildcat.

It should be a lot of fun to run in Madden though. I just hope that it can't be explioted. EX. like HB pass in Madden 08. However, I don't think Ian and Company would let that happen.
Well my panthers ran the wildcat alot last season with D willaims and it ran great. But like I said before Ian would not put a formation that could not be countered.

All this is ignoring that the games it didn't work in were against top 5 defences.

On topic, all this "wildcat is cheese" and "a play creator would create cheese" crap is annoying to be honest.

Im glad to see so many people agree. I welcome the wildcat and the challenges it can bring just like I welcomed the challenge of stopping ATL when Vick hit the seen a few years ago. I also would welcome the play editor and the challenges that could bring.

I have no clue how any could think that the Wildcat is cheating or cheesing (who fabricated such phrase -- **** is awful?) when it's a formation in the game. I wouldn't care if someone uses it on every play if they thought it suited them well and gained major yards. It would be up to that player on defense to find a play that stops it -- or make it ineffective, which would make the that player think twice about using it constantly.

Yes but your first sentence is referring to real life...

Your second is regarding the video game....So as annoyed as you might be about the "cheese" comments. They are valid concerns regarding the "video game".

Very big differences. Sure it didnt work to well against top 5 defenses in "real life"

But no matter how much the OP welcomes the challenge, if the AI isnt smart enough to deal with the wildcat it wont matter how good he is.

Now im not saying it wont work, as a matter of fact im glad its being included. But i definitely have some concerns in how the AI is going to deal with it.

It could end up being fine and all of this would be a mute point anyway.
Heres hoping

I'm sure Ian, etc. aren't stupid enough to put something like this in the game in such a way as the defensive AI couldn't cope with it. From what we've heard from those who went to the community day and fromIan, it seems fine.
