Just got an Xbox 1 and Madden 04

I never actually had Madden 2004. I didn't actually get into Madden until 2006. But, I have always heard good things about Madden 2004. If there was somehow a way to get updated (2009) rosters onto an XBOX version of Madden 2004, I'd go out and buy a copy right a way.

If i remmember correctly madden 04 had a true pocket for passing, but like PGaither84 said the game was too focused on offence and had tons of glitches that killed the game for me.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, but in madden 2004 like all xbox/ps2 maddens you can throw off your foot 50 yards. You should just get madden 2009 for xbox, imo it's just an upgraded version of 2009. It may miss some features 2004 had but it has better rosters and better overall options, gameplay..imo.

Neg, I'd tried throwing off my back foot 50 yards, I got an extremely slow, weak lob that was picked off.

I love this game and play it to this day on PC with updated rosters. And yeah, hell no you can't throw off your back foot in that game unless you're throwing it less than 10 yards to someone wide open. The game had issues, yes, but I feel like that was the closest Madden ever was to perfect. 05+ introduced more issues than they fixed.
