Last Gen console maddens not been able to be played on 360?

I just had a thought about something. I am confused that it seems the only football game for right now been able to be played on 360 from the xbox days is NFL 2k5. I just don't understand why microsoft after all this time all of these other games the have put on the list from xbox to be played on 360, But yet none of the xbox maddens have not yet made list to be a put on the 360 to be played. This crazy. Microsoft allows 2k5 to be on 360 playble. But yet known of maddens from xbox days have not made it on 360 list yet be able to be played. I hate microsoft been a madden *****.

It is not done on purpose. MS has to write emulation software for *every* game/engine. The old Madden's have been incompatible and too much effort. Full Backwards Compatibility was never promised so I'm just happy 2k5 works.

I don't know exactly why they haven't made the other Xbox Maddens backward compatible on the Xbox 360, but I think they are aware of it, but couldn't do it because of software issues.

Writing software has nothing to do with it. I have seen a ton of xbox games on 360 list as of now. I don't see how it's so hard to add madden games on to the list. If they can do it for the tons of game of xobx games already on the list. There is no reason why microsoft can't do it. It ain't that hard to do. I know because I am a computer programmer myself.

Not all Xbox games are compatible with the Xbox 360. Ex: The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay had to be recreated and added to Assault on Dark Athena because it was not compatible with the Xbox 360.

for most games, it's because of the emulation problems. however, with games like madden, and chronicles of riddick, it wasn't made backwards compatible because there are/were plans for a 360 version. why would they bother trying to make the last gen version of a game work when they have a version for the 360?

I believe EA asked microsoft not to add the games toe the backwards compatibility to prevent people from choosing the "better" last-gen games and force them to purchase the next gen EA made games including madden. Madden is a very popular game and would have been a top choice by microsoft to make backwards compatible. Imo it's EA's influence that prevents these games from being added.
