RB/TE Flats fix?

I would not worry to much for now. I am sure if Ian and his crew this as a major problem then they will address. But if not then you aill have to live with another year until people start to complain about it even more.

y'all want the perfect defense every time. let's see, you want to cover the deep pass, the slant, the 10 yard hook, the in and out routes, the drag and the slot. oh, don't forget the corners. oh and the screens and every run play too.

In real life, most throws to the flats are outlet passes and they typically pick up a few yards. sometimes they lose a couple, but only if they throw it too late.

I know how football works. I know that there's not one magical super defenses. However, if I can predicate my offense on waiting for a running to clear the corner or outrun a LBer, there's a problem. It's a problem b/c guys can pick up nearly 10yds 95% of the time. They can also make their offense all about the TE drag regardles of coverage. These are generally 2-5yd plays at best. There may be a linger gain occasionally.

This play wasnt a big deal in Madden 09. It was a major issue in NCAA 09 because the LBs never even got close to covering the RBs, but in Madden, the LBs covered it a lot better. I've seen LBs make the tackle for a loss at times so I wouldnt say its money.

People need to stop looking for a defense to stop every play, Thats not football! If an offense was really hitting on all cylinders, they could move the ball on every play because every defensive play has a vulnerability where it can be beaten. thats why defensive players always crowd the 1st rd of the NFL draft because you can get impact players who can make impact plays, even when the defense is at the disadvantage.
