That wouldn't work with football. Also did Infinity Ward make Call of Duty: World at War? They made Call of Duty 4 and will be making the sequel to that, but they're not making WWII games like Call of Duty: World at War.

Well... can't blame for hoping. I thought this would do well with football games. I mean c'mon... 9 months to make a football game that the majority of your consumers will like. People (including me) blast their game every year. But they sell 3 to 4 million copies every year.

Oh well... I should expect some flamers soon. Make it hot guys!

That's the point of this thread...

IW made COD 4, and they are making MW2.
Treyarch made COD: WAW.

The two developers switch off iterations. That's what the OP is suggesting EA do with Madden, by getting another developer to switch off with Tiburon. As I posted before, though, I agree that this strategy wouldn't work with sports games.

Re: EA should follow Activision tactics

WaW sucked. For people who play COD 4 a lot, WaW was an awful game. The differences are really noticeable. With Madden, the differences would be noticeable as well. Plus- some features take multiple years to incorporate and other things need to flow. It just wouldn't work. It really doesn't work with COD, and it definitely wouldn't with Madden. Now if NCAA wanted to do it for the next few years, it'd support it because the current team is lacking.

This is quite an interesting topic, but I don't think it would work. EA Sports just needs to get its act together and release an excellent game that represents what REAL football is.

Re: EA should follow Activision tactics

This topic has kind of got off off topic ain't it. But bro you pretty much are saying give EA 2 years to make a lot better football instead of pushing them to do it within 1 year. That just ain't going to happen. Ea will not do it and the NFL would not allow it. Both would lose millions of dollars in sales if they waited a extra year. Good idea but most fans would not agree to that.

That was my impression too when reading the thread. I have no clue where the 2 years came from.
