It's not that the QB is "way too far" back. It's only about a yard or so. But playing Madden for so many years, I easily noticed that it was off.

Anyway, I agree that the QB should be a yard or two closer, especially given the lack of pass rush this year (from what I've seen of the E3 videos, at least).

Yea, with what we've seen at E3, I'm not sure what to expect anymore. We keep hearing pass rushing is improved, but I haven't seen it. Thank God we have real sliders back this year. Now lets pray they work.


Also, what bothered me MOST about pass rushing in Madden 09:

The fact that when the user is on offense, there was so many times where an OL would just shuffle around and watch a CPU defensive player run past them... But when the user was on defense, they would almost never get the same thing to happen in their favor.

The Qb should move up about 1 1/2 yards.

But whats wrong the the playbooks? I've seen this comment several times in several threads and never understood. In the entire madden relm, the playbook is one of the most accurate things.

Just look at the pictures in the OP. Look where the HB is positioned in the REAL pictures. Then look at the Madden screens. That should give you somewhat of an idea in regards to the playbooks.
