Seems to me the concept of offline franchise should be something that goes away next year because if you can play an "online" franchise as a single player why would a dev team want to incorporate to models to have to improve?

Yea I was thinking the same thing. Since online franchise can be played by yourself and they put alot of work into it, I was going to play that.

However unless they fix importing draft classes, trade logic and salary cap in online franchise, then I'll play it offline. You can't run a franchise without the salary cap an trade logic being in there.

The one thing that should be added is preperation....There is a lot of preperation that goes into playing a football game. They should add something like 2k did with the weekly practice schedule that effects your ratings as they go up or down based on the drills you do and timely days off

I agree which is why I said in future editions. I was unaware that the draft logic was different in online and also the salary cap. The later is a fairly big issue.

Oh and if you don't have an internet connection I would say catch up to the 1990's

Um maybe because not everyone can connect to the internet on their 360/PS3

When I was in iraq although we had internet they wouldn't really let you use the military internet for madden and the personal internet you can purchase is too slow so it isn't like online is available to everyone even in these days.

I am really eager to hear about the overall draft presentation.

And to the guy saying just play online- Many people do have online, but for me personally, I'd have to move my PS3 into another room or run a 100ft cable through my entire house to plug in because I don't have wireless.

I am too, i would at least like to see some screens of the draft or maybe even some screens of the improved scouting interface and what not.

Re: Offline Franchise Information - This is What We Know

Hey guys, I have some bad news. I have been buying EA games for awhile now and one thing I have found over the years is when it comes to features........no news = bad news. It means one of 2 things.

1: The feature is the same or close to the same as before or:

2: The feature is actually worse than it was before

EA doesn't do this intentionally. That's just the nature of their marketing. If there had been some drastic changes, I can almost guarantee that there would have been a blog about it already. It's marketing 101. You show people new and fresh stuff. You don't show them the same old stuff they've been seeing. You tell them about the extra point show. You don't tell them it's just a glorified way to look at box scores, stats, and injuries. That's just the nature of the beast. I wouldn't be getting my hopes up too high at this point. I'm not trying to be a "Debbie Downer"(as Ian put it). I'm just trying to be realistic.

Sidenote: I thought Debbie Downer was a porno star in the late 70's to early 80's.
