Should Players Transitioning Lose Awareness Ratings?

To be honest I was surprised Kampman still managed to get rated 93 despite switching to OLB. I'm sure a lot of that still comes from his ability as an edge rusher, and I'm sure his coverage ratings aren't going to be anything great.

No awareness hit... instead, implement the Head Coach playbook knowledge system. A player retains his instincts and ability to read what the opposition is doing when he changes systems, what he needs to relearn is his assignments.

Not really, until a player gets the system down, they have to think a lot more, which slows down their play recognition.

Really it doesn't slow down their recognition. They will still be able to tell just as quickly if it is a run or a pass or where the run is going or what route their guy is running. What slows down is how quickly they react to it due to not knowing their assignments as well leading to possible blown assignments somewhat like what hc did.
