i am excited and nervous about the upcoming Madden installment for PS3 but then again, i've been excited about the game each of the last 3 years and repeatedly i've been disappointed and returned the game shortly after i wasted $60. If this year follows that tradition (which i hope it doesn't) i am wondering if the PS2 version of the game will be worth picking up? Has anyone heard about any updates or improvements?

Someone asked this question awhile ago, but yes, the PS2 version is basically a roster update with a few new features here and there.

Last gen sports is dead... though still has some better gameplay than the next gen games...

Last years game was a roster update and actually worse then 08 because they took away the vision cone for default. On the PS2 version it totally took the fun away, it was easy enough on offense with the cone now anybody can avoid sack by holding up and pressing any button. Also for as easy as the offense is in 09 you would figure give the D a break when the offense makes a mistake instead DB's drop 90's of Int's really taking the satisfaction you get from a well designed D.

Really where is the article on this? Last years had quite a bit new features.
