Accelerated Clock - Why use it?

I'm going to try Acc clock this yr for the first time. But what i really want to do is adjust the play clock time and an option make a "1 min' warning in a 5-6 minute game.

I actually finally tried using it on last gen madden, and it is AMAZING! I play 10 minute quarters and I get what I believe to be accurate stats... about 120 plays.... but I absolutely love it... it feels much more realistic...

Im confused now...

Will accl. clock be for online ranked matches too? and if so...the games will still only be 5 min?

Online games only have 5 min quarters, it only takes me about 20min for a online match
