Andy is impressed with what he has seen from the vids( protack will be like hitstick, in the user will wonder how they played the game before it IAO), but double team blocking of the d-line = huge

Being able to make a dominate d-line and have it actually mean something would be amazing..


in franchise, if you could give players "identities" team player, laid back, disruptive, unpredictable ( quick example, like nba 2k8, player has a disruptive personality, and you were drafting in the later part of the 1st round, and wanted to take a wr to be your slot guy, but the wr has the disruptive personality, and would get upset if he didn't get the ball enough, which would drop his rating, making team moral go down, and if it goes down low enough, other players ratings start to drop, so you might need to take the less talented, but more team oriented guy to keep things running smoothly.. works the same in FA, so the user can't always just have 90's at every position, and would make decisons tough come contract time)

also, have progression go backwards from the way it currently is.. in the nfl, guys don't get better as the season goes, they get injured, bodies are beat up, have a progressive fatigue system, and if the player overuses a player, have it start to take a hit on his ratings, making bye weeks, in the reg season and playoffs huge..

Like Andy said, he really enjoys how 10 is coming along, but, well you asked, haha..

I guess I look at the hype like this....

I personally hold nothing against EA as a company, for the...shall I say, the colorful way they hype their games. I feel it's up to me to do my homework to see just how much of the advertising is accurate. If you do just a little homework [rent first, checkout videos, etc...no reason to feel cheated...imo.

But when the developers are on the boards, that to me, makes things more personal. And I hold them to a higher standard. I don't mind being BS'ed on the "back of the box'....but not on my board of choice. With the fine line that Ian Cummings has to walk each time he posts, I believe he's been pretty straight forward with us here at OS.

Well, the thing is, it wouldn't take much for me to actually be impressed. I think what impresses me is polish. Where there isnt alot of hype and just things that have been done "right". From an innovative standpoint, its things like your online franchise that have never been done before, yet there isnt the "base package". Its not like you skimped on the iphone app but had a solid franchise base. You kind of did it backwards. Next year, it shouldnt be we added in salary,etc, it should be we added in your own espn.com(or something like it) to manage your franchise. People would pretty much go ape on it, myself included. Hey Ian, BTW I created my own madden league site. I'd like to get your opinion on that- its cool if you say WTF where is this or that LOL youve earned it. the site is www.revolution-football.com its a work in progress but it will be ready for aug 14th.Check out the Titans page to see how that looks,rest of team pages will be up shortly but that is my base page for now.
