i know people were clamoring for this feature for some time. but now that it's in, i don't even understand the purpose of it. can anyone help me out here?

For the guy's who do like to play long quaters where you can get more realistic stats this is like rea life as real teams dont snap the ball before 30 seconds everytime.

It simulates the time it takes in real life to call a play, break the huddle, and get to the line of scrimmage. In Madden, this can be done in less than 10 seconds which is unrealistic. The accelerated clock makes it so where you get to the line with 15 seconds or fewer on the play clock like real life.

For those who play online people can still manipulate the clock and let it run as long as they want before they call the play and break the huddle. unless there is a way for them to call a play at 10 seconds left and automatically be a delay of game or something.

my reason: sumtimes when running the ball late in games tryna run the clock out, u'd rather not wait a full FORTY seconds before snapping the ball, so acc. clocks makes it go down quicker

How is the use of accelerated clock not ridiculosly obvious?

How long does it take to move to the new line of scrimage, huddle, send in substitutions, and call a play in real football? Anywhere from 15 to 35 seconds. Sometimes more if there is a mistake in the flow (and then a delay of game penalty).

How long does it take in Madden? 5 seconds or less.

Accelerated clock is a patchwork fix for this descrepency.

A better fix would be to make going to the new LOS, huddling and substitutions all real time events. but accel clock is the best we have atm.

really, how is that not obvious?>
