What is your reason for getting a demo?

Do you get a demo because you simply cant wait for the game or do you get it to help you decide whether you want to buy the game or not.

i ask this because i dont see the point in havin 2 versions of madden demos where the better one only goes to those who have only pre ordered the game. so that means u've already made the decision on whether u want to buy it or not.

i havent preordered a game before but im guessin you have to make a down payment on the game

wat if you get the demo and hate the game, u have to cancel the order and its like u purchased a demo, how dumb does that sound?

well, online you dont have to put a down payment on it. most people are gunna buy madden regardless, because its the only game with nfl rights. yes, the demo to me, is like a early game, but it is also answers my question of whether i am going to have to go back to ps2 again this year. to answer your question about two different demos, its simple. When you preorder madden, your basically almost gauranteing(spellcheck plz) a sale for them. So EA gives you something special. smart business move by my standards.

i usually download the demos to make a decision whether to get the game or not. i DID, however, preorder madden this year and my purpose for this years demo is to get accustomed to madden on ps3 (last played madden 08 for ps2) and to sharpen my game before it actually comes out. as for cancelling the preorder, im not sure, but i would imagine you get your money back, no?

me personally, my reason is to play the game early and see how the game is. I've already paid so unless it is COMPLETELY the same as 09,I'll have it on August 14th. I just want to see with the longer time can I see the improvements in gameplay that has been touted.

Mainly people just want to get the feel of madden before it comes out. And also the demo with keep us busy for the final month we have to wait for it.

It's not like that at all. I put $5.00 on Madden 10 at gamestop back in May to pre-order it. After I play the Demo if I decide I do not want to buy the game, I cancel my pre -order and get my $5.00 back. So I have paid for nothing.
