Creating yourself: Do you or not?

I've never created myself in any sports game.

I guess for me...it just try to keep my franchise as realistic as possible. But I did come damn close to making an NFL team a few years ago....in a dream I had.

i never really created myself b4 but i think imma start this year ! In ncaa 08 i created myself and was a Hb for University of North Carolina , i broke every record just about even recieving yards and receptions and i won the heaisman and won a couple bowl games and i imported my player to Madden 08 and i was drafted by the 49ers in superstar mode and my guy was a SCRUB ! lol so ever since i just stay away from superstar mode bt i think i will create myself for franchise mode.

that is pretty cool breaking recievning record when you are HB .. were you on rookie?

i usually find a player i like that i imported from my NCAA team. it's always a FS since thats my real-life position and the funnest position IMO. ill change the guy to what i like: favorite number, hair style, even the accessories i wear for the game (1/2 sleeves, TC gloves, elbow band, long TC socks, and wrapped ankles). but i dont edit his attributes at all, that's my "superstar" mode and i try to never switch off of him

Yes, and I've done the same thing the last couple years I've had the game and will do the same this year.

I always control the Panthers to start, and also the Steelers (mainly to keep them from screwing up for the first few years) then after a couple years I pick up a random mid-late round pocket QB with Carolina, give him my name and school, let him ride the pine some during first year until Delhomme (usually old and declining at his point) gets hurt or starts losing games (I sim until the new QB plays). I then play with the new QB as the starter until Big Ben retires from the Steelers and play the rest of his career out there... I've only made it to the Steelers once, and didn't come that close to retirement. You'd think it would be repetitive following a 'script' somewhat, but it's so different every time I start it up.

Same here. We always set guidlines to keep it realistic. I'm usually 75 or 70 overall.
