Re: How many Franchise Players completed a season with a Losing Record?

I play on the hardest difficulty. any type, Madden IQ, All madden, it doesnt matter. The worst record I have had in 9 seasons is 15-1. I don't sign free agents, the only new players that pick up are through the draft. My teams all end up being really young but not all that good either.

Franchise is ridiculously easy and I would like more of a challenge but I keep playing for some reason.

I have never messed the playoffs as long as I played madden neither. The AI is not smart enough to keep up with me.

I think i've gone 7-9 once with the Bengals and 8-8 a few times with some other teams.

Re: How many Franchise Players completed a season with a Losing Record?

I have had plenty of losing seasons but mostly 8-8 or 9-7 type seasons. In 09 I made the playoffs but never went to the Super Bowl, I play with the Bears by the way. I play with custom sliders and truly play as just a player. On defense I do not switch players after the snap. I use Ask Madden for play call selection and must call the highlighted play, after all that is what the coach is sending in. I never audible. On pass plays I try to throw to the primary receiver as much as I can so I actually have to throw deep even if I think it will be incomplete. It definitely got a little frustrating not getting to the Super Bowl but I would rather have that than go 16-0 or 15-1 every season in which case I would quit playing too soon.

I would love to call my own plays but I find that it is too easy to just keep going to plays you know really well and that gets repetitive and boring. I use to switch playbooks each season to try and keep it fresh but I found the above method the best for me. I just try to immerse myself in being a player during the season and a GM during the off-season.

Cant remember the last time auto pass was on 2005 i think. Not a gd QB me so left to AI. Went 4-12 then 6-10 then 8-8 then 10-6 lost in 1st playoff game next year 11-5 lost superbowl then won superbowl 2 yrs on the bounce with 12-4 records, taking the Chiefs. Then went to GB to be first coach to win superbowls with same coach. Was pretty realistic not FA`s unless to cover season long injury just drafted my needs good fun hope the same this time auto pass.
